Understanding the Mass
We have begun our preparation to begin using the new English Translations of the Mass November 27, 2011, the First Sunday of Advent. You might be thinking, "Didn't we just have changes in the Mass a few years ago?" Yes, we did. In 2003, we implemented the new General Instruction of the Roman Missal. That made some changes in the way we celebrate Mass. This time the only changes will be in the words we say but words are important. It is also important to understand our gestures and responses at Mass. Between now and November 27, 2011 we will be offering opportunities to help us all develop a deeper appreciation of the Mass.
Here are some documents and links to help you learn more about the changes and our Mass
