Why God? Why be a Catholic?

We have been loved from the beginning of time by God!  We were made by God, for God, and to have a relationship with God here, and to live with God forever in Heaven!  The Bible from Genesis to Revelation is God’s love story to us.   Our Catholic faith is based on the Deposit of Faith, the truth of scripture and the tradition of Jesus’ teachings and actions.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), our comprehensive guide to Church teachings, covers core principles of our Catholic faith.  It provides a structure for understanding Catholic doctrine and serves as a reference for applying faith principles in daily life. It organizes Catholic doctrine into four main parts: the Profession of Faith, the Sacraments, the Life in Christ, and Prayer.

Why be a Catholic?  Why not?  It is the original form of Christianity, the Church established by Christ with the apostolic succession of its’ first Pope, Peter.
